Hi all! If you've read my profile, then you know that I'm a huge Nickelback fan! They're my favorite band! Anyway, they're going to have a concert in a city not too far from me, and I'm gonna ask my boyfriend if he wants to go. I've never seen them live before, and I was just wondering if any of you have, and what's your opinions?

Haven't seen them. They're one of those bands I'd love to say I find just annoying and I find their sound a bit annoying at times but I reluctantly have to admit their songs get stuck in my head and they've written a few brilliant ones "Photograph" e.g. "How you Remind Me" was good before it was overplayed big time, their first album "Leader of Men" (think it's their first) is actually really good.
Very tight singing, a bit over produced, either they're really good or really bad in concert but the pirated concert recording I heard of them sounded very promising.
Have fun and let us know how the concert went.
I'm hoping to see Dave Matthews this summer, would see Radiohead but it's too expensive and I've seen them 3 times, that band is beyond brilliance when it comes to live shows, Sigur Ros are good too, I've seen Tool but wasn't hugely impressed, ice, but too much like the album, Green Day, the Bravery and Ash are tied for top 3 to 5 ish for the best live bands I've seen, Garbage were a bitof a let down but still good, hope I can add a few more bands to my list this summer.
cheers
-B

No, the album with Leader of Men on it, wasn't their first albumm, but Leader of Men, is what brought them to people's attention. I didn't care much for that album, but I love every one after that! Sometimes, yes, I agree that the radio does tend to overplay their songs, but what song doesn't get overplayed when it's first released! Ah well, I still love them, and hope that when I see them, they won't turn out to be one of those bands who sound excellent on CD, but terribel in concert. LOL

..and I hope the ticket will cost 24.90 so that you may get a "nickel back" if you pay $25. ;)

Heheheheh, well, in that case, if it costs $24.90, I'd probably get a dime, so... Maybe $24.95?

Jeez, and I'm supposed to work with numbers .. ;) temporary lapse, yes, wasn't Dimebag the guitarist for Pantera, the guy who was killed at a gig?
Anyways, 24.95 it would be then. ;)

LOL, if i got a nickel back after buying the ticket, I'd probably keep it! Yes, Dime Bag From Pantera. I didn't listen to that group, but I saw the story on the news. Actually, Dime Bag Daryl and Chad Kroeger were supposedly good friends.

Awesome! My boyfriend and I got our tickets today! I'm so excited! We got floor seats, so we're able to get as close to the stage, as we want!

Well, I said I would post here about the concert, after I went, so here I am.
Last night was the concert, and it was incredibly awsome! I was blown away by how excellent Nickelback was. Not only on performance, but they connect so amazingly with their fans. It was awesome. this was the first time that I've seen them in concert, and I didn't want it to end! We had a blast! I definitely want to go and see them again. They are my favorite band, and last night was just an amazing experience.
